To sum it up, I waited almost a half an hour after my appointment time before I made it to the chair. I told the lady what I wanted and she did something completely different, not to mention the fact that she cut a huge chunk out of the back of my hair on one side and she didn't even offer to fix it. She also spent the entire time talking over her shoulder to a friend that was visiting. I now have to go to another salon to get my hair fixed. All in all, I was not impressed.
We were there with a big wedding party getting our hair done a few weekends ago. I had an idea of a wedding updo that I wanted. The hair dresser told me half way threw the styling that I didn't have enough hair to do what I wanted (I did) and that she was doing something else. It was a big mess. I felt it would have been impolite to tell her I didn't like it so I shelled over the $45 plus tip and delt with it. Turns out a few other girls did not like their hair do's either. (To the point of going back to the hotel and washing their hair and doing it themselves.) now, the photographer pics are coming out and I can see how terrible my hair looked now.
Just go over to Petoskey and find another salon. Thumbs down.
I got married in July and used Last Tangle Salon for my bridesmaids, family, and I's hair and makeup. I was able to schedule a trial the day before my wedding and when I showed Holly what I wanted, she did exactly that.
A great beauty shop very reasonably priced!
On the day of my wedding, they were super flexible and made time to do hair and makeup for 11 of us. Between Holly and her staff, they were very efficient and got all of our hair and makeup done within 5 hours. My hair and airbrush makeup both held all night and I absolutely loved them!
I also paid to have false eye lashes put on by the lady that did airbrush make up. Do yourself a favor. Don't do the airbrush. The make up was really heavy and did not look good. Eye lashes were heavy and annoying all night.
