My boyfriend and I were camping not far from town, and I blew what I thought was one brake line when we went out for lunch. After some looking, we came here, and Steve was great. He told me he'd try to do what was needed as quickly and cheaply as possible (we had to leave the next morning) and he did just that. He even gave us a ride back to the campground and picked us up when the car was fixed. And when it ended up being worse than he thought, and I needed more lines replaced, he called me and walked me through it, and also took pictures so I could see what was going on. Even after that, when it took longer than he had anticipated (and he had replaced all of the brake lines) he still only charged us the original estimate, which was amazing. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who needs work done. Thanks for being great and getting us home safe!
While driving through Charlevoix on our way to Mackinac City, we noticed sudden deterioration in brake performance in our 14 year-old Suburban. Ironically, we were 1 block away from the Muffler Shoppe (thank you, Internet) and were able to pull in. They couldn't get to it that day. Plug for the manager of the Budget car rental operation 1 mile away, who drove a mini van to us! We went on to Mackinac Island, and had a great weekend, returning to Charlevoix Sunday night. Steve kept in touch with us while we were on the Island and thought he'd be able to repair the vehicle Monday morning. True to his word, he got the parts he needed and we were back on the road just as promised. The repair cost far less than it would have in Milwaukee, our home. We were really pleased with the service at the Muffler Shoppe!
Steve and the Muffler shop team are always so helpful and efficient. I get a phone call when my car is finished, and a nice reminder text that I'm in need of an oil change. I love the small town feel of the Muffler Shoppe. You talk straight to the owners, and I trust them with my vehicle and that they're giving me an accurate price.
Over the last 5 years I have used TMS for all my repairs & maintenance on 2 vehicles. Steve and team have been wonderful to work with and proven trustworthy of all my future business as well.
This shop it the best there is and I have been across the US 5 times while serving in the Navy. They tell it like it is, fix what needs to be fixed and do it at a fair price. This is not just a muffler shop, they do it all and do it well.
This is my go to place from here on out. I've only been here a couple of times but have been totally impressed with the service and customer satisfaction attitude.
